Her uneasy thoughts made her tremble in fear,
or was it that early winter breeze?
She did not know nor did she care
for her mind was troubled with dark thoughts of what was to come.
Slowly she stepped out of the shadows that had hidden her and given her a false sense of security . Her eyes gleamed with a fatigue of living and so she knew she was ready, death was not something she feared. Maybe death was only the beginning ; there was only one way to find out. With her last breath she finally faced him eye to eye, an evil smirk covered his mouth taunting her last moments of living. He and she both knew that the upper hand in this battle would not go to her, and so fear was what reigned in her feeble heart. “I thought you were going to hide in the trees forever” he said in a coarse voice that echoed so clearley through the night. “I knew it wouldn’t stop you” She muttered trying to hide the evident fear in her voice. The smirk on his face grew wider as she said this and slowly he took a step twoards her savouring the fear she fed him.
